Terms of Service for Immersive Chrome Extension
Last updated: May 2, 2025
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing and using the Immersive Chrome Extension (“the Extension”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
If you don’t agree, don’t install it.
2. What the Extension Does
Immersive helps you learn German by making real content easier to understand.
When you browse the web, the Extension lets you:
• Highlight words or sentences to get translations
• Switch to simplified versions of German texts
• Save vocabulary to review later
• Practice and improve your German over time
We’re still building. More features will be added to help make reading in German easier.
3. Accounts & Data
Installing the Extension automatically creates a basic user account.
The account stores minimal necessary info. More details are in our Privacy Policy.
If you want to save words or track progress, you’ll need to do that actively.
We don’t sell your data.
4. Pricing
Right now, everything is free.
That might change in the future.
If we introduce paid features, we’ll let you know.
5. Use Respectfully
You agree to:
• Not reverse-engineer or tamper with the Extension
• Not use it to break laws or harm others
• Respect the intended use and limits
6. Ownership
Immersive owns the Extension and everything we’ve built into it.
You own your content—you’re using our tool to read and learn from it.
We don’t track or store the websites you read unless you choose to save words.
7. No Guarantees
This is an early-stage prototype.
• There may be bugs—we’ll fix them
• Translations might not always be perfect—double-check important info
• We’re not responsible for any issues caused by using the Extension
Don’t rely on it for legal, financial, or official decisions.
8. Availability
We want the Extension to work smoothly, but downtime can happen.
If it breaks, we’ll try to fix it quickly.
9. Contact & Account Deletion
Have a question or want to delete your account?
Email: info (@) joinimmersive.com
We’ll respond as soon as we can.
10. Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms in the future.
If we do, we’ll post the changes here. Keep an eye out.
